Ottawa, ON – Conservative Candidates, Pierre Paul-Hus and Michael Barrett today wrote to the Ethics Commissioner requesting an investigation into Justin Trudeau's Liberal candidate for Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Mélanie Joly.
In the letter, Conservatives raise concerns that Ms. Joly either did not recuse herself from decisions about a contract that could have benefitted a family member, despite assurances provided to public servants that she would, or she failed to disclose her recusal from the decisions publicly as required by law.
Consequently, Conservatives have asked the Ethics Commissioner to investigate and clarify the facts.
The letter can be reviewed here.
